You will
need: Juicer Good supply of Granny Smith
apples 2 oz. of cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil 4 oz.
of either lemon or grapefruit juice (use organic if possible) 12 oz
bottle of magnesium citrate (available from most grocery stores or
pharmacies)
Steps Involved (fasting is not required to do this
cleanse):
- For 3 days drink at least 4 glasses of freshly made apple
juice (if using the Green Star Juicer you can make it and store in 8 oz. glass
jars). The malic acid helps to soften and break up stones.
- On the
evening of day 3, drink 2 oz. of olive oil mixed with 4 oz. of either lemon or
grapefruit juice.
- Lie down on your right side for 20 minutes with right
knee as close to your chest as possible. This position opens the pathway to your
gall bladder, allowing the olive oil and juice mixture to work at dissolving and
cleaning out any stones. (Some nausea may be experienced).
- Before going
to bed (on day 3), drink a 12 oz. bottle of magnesium citrate.
- When you
wake the next morning, expect to pass what might be described as ?sludge?. You
might also pass soft, round stones of varying sizes and colors, mostly green. They
float and look much like fuzzy, undigested peas.
There are some people who
have used organic apple juice that has been purchased and seem some success, but we
prefer to make the juice fresh.
Another option is to substitute 1 tsp of
Malic Acid in 1 qt of water and drink throughout the day instead of drinking the
apple juice. Those who have blood sugar issues may prefer this method.
Many people have found it beneficial to have a colon cleansing/colonic
session just prior to and immediately after doing this
flush.
