Wow! Can't believe it has been a month since my last entry. How has it been going for you this past month? Have you made any changes in your health choices? Today I would like to talk about preparing some healthy food.

Making healthy food choices can be as simple as eating lots of fruit. You can choose very simple foods or you can find gourmet recipes that will challenge your culinary skills! I have several recipe books that I use regularly. A long time favorite is Everyday Wholesome Eating in the Raw by Kim Wilson. It has fairly simple recipes and directions. Another book that is good for beginners in the preparation of raw foods, is by Alissa Cohen - Living on Raw Foods. It also has a wonderful 3 hour DVD that will give you a lot of confidence as you begin those recipes. Just recently I've discovered some recipe books by Ani Phyo! Her book Ani's Raw Food Kitchen is excellent - great recipes & great hints for healthy living! She also has a terrific dessert recipe book that is amazing! These are all raw recipe books, but there are lots of vegan recipe books out there as well. You can also go to the recipe page here on www.naturesbestnews.com for lots of great recipes.

What it comes down to is how challenging you want to make your food prep. You can peel a banana, or you can make a simple dehydrated bread, an awesome fruit cobbler. The point is to just get in there and experiment with your food and have fun!

So, this is something new for me and I hope I can get some feedback from you with your thoughts on it. Right now, you won't be able to make comments on the blog, but you can email me and tell me what you think.

I want to be able to share new ideas/thoughts and other things that we learn about on a regular basis. This seems to be the most logical way to accomplish that goal without inundating you with emails (which I promise not to do).

There is so much information available now that sometimes it becomes difficult to separate the truth from the fluff. I hope to be able to help you do just that in this blog. Whether it is the latest on supplements, lifestyle choices, books, movies, food, or whatever, I'll do what I can to make it easy to understand.
