Before & After a Colonic
Before a Colonic . . .
The day before your colonic, eat light - preferably fruits and vegetables.
The day of your colonic, eat a light breakfast and lunch, depending on your appointment time.
IMPORTANT: No food or water two (2) hours prior to your colonic.
After a Colonic . . .
After a colon Irrigation, it has been our experience that it is important to:
1. Drink plenty of liquids - pure or filtered Water, fresh vegetable or fruit juices, herb teas, and goat whey
2. Fortify with intestinal microflora - probiotics (friendly bacteria) - ask for more information about this.
3. Optimally eat soft food such as pureed soups for the first 24 hours after the colonic session.
4. Avoid eating raw vegetables for 2 days. Steamed vegetables and raw fruit are all right, but masticate (chew) thoroughly.
5. Reduce/Eliminate meat consumption for 3 days.
6. Observe your body's reaction to the colonic; food you eat and the energy you feel
7. Continue your exercise program, if any. Begin walking if you are not on a program.
8. Be aware of your breathing and your thoughts. Sometimes emotional energy is also moved during a colonic.
9. Follow proper food combining rules to reduce gas and aid digestion.
10. Take a detox bath the evening of your colonic. This will help continue the detox process by pulling toxins through the skin as well. Not to mention it is relaxing and part of being "good to yourself" Use 3-4 Tbsp of powdered ginger in tub of water. Or may use 1 cup raw apple cider vinegar in tub
11. Schedule your next colonic before you leave!
